Vice President – Jason E. Cordaway

 

Jason is a retired Lieutenant Colonel with 27 years of distinguished military service across the United States Army, Navy, and Army National Guard. After a career defined by leadership excellence, strategic planning, and organizational development, Jason transitioned from active service in July 2024. In retirement, Jason dedicates his energy to family, community, and strengthening organizations that honor leadership, service, and military traditions through his role with the Cup and Flower Foundation.

As Vice President of the Cup and Flower Foundation, Jason brings extensive leadership, operational management, and strategic planning experience. Throughout his military and civilian careers, he has championed leadership development, unit heritage, and programs that boost morale and recognition. His leadership extends beyond the military, having managed large organizations, multi-million-dollar initiatives, and high-level talent programs.

Jason’s military journey began in October 1995 with the United States Navy, completing four deployments supporting Operation Southern Watch and Operation Enduring Freedom with Patrol Squadron Nine at NAS Barbers Point and MCB Kaneohe, Hawaii. After an honorable discharge in 2002, he was commissioned through UTSA’s Army ROTC program in 2006, joining the 506th Infantry Regiment (Currahee) of the 101st Airborne Division after completing intensive

infantry, airborne, ranger, and reconnaissance training.

In 2010, Jason transitioned to the Texas Army National Guard, serving in key leadership roles within the 1st Battalion (Airborne) 143rd Infantry Regiment and later commanding the 3rd Battalion 141st Infantry Regiment. His career highlights include leading multinational operations, managing multi-million-dollar budgets, and achieving operational excellence. His awards include two Bronze Stars, five Meritorious Service Medals, the Lone Star Distinguished Service Medal, and prestigious recognitions like the Combat Infantryman Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, and Ranger Tab.

Following military retirement, Jason continued leading in the private sector as General Manager of Hui Huliau HHT, LLC, and Director of Operations at Hui Huliau, a Native Hawaiian Organization supporting federal programs worldwide. He holds dual master’s degrees in business administration and organizational development & leadership from the University of the Incarnate Word and a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Jason lives in Jonestown, Texas, with his wife Lori and their children, where he remains dedicated to service, leadership, and community impact.
