Treasurer – Melissa C. Harden
Melissa C. Harden currently serves as the Director of Human Resources and Payroll for the Texas Military Department. A retired Chief Warrant Officer 4, she concluded a distinguished 30-year career with the Texas Army National Guard in 2016, having served primarily in the Human Resources field.
Throughout her military career, Melissa held numerous key leadership positions, including Military Personnel Office Branch Chief, J5 Policy Branch Chief, Officer in Charge of the General Officer Management Office, Freedom of Information Officer, Human Resources Technician for the 36th Combat Aviation Brigade, and Secretary of the General Staff. She began her service as an enlisted soldier, reaching the rank of Sergeant First Class before commissioning into the Warrant Officer Corps.
Melissa also brings extensive experience in nonprofit leadership. She has served as Vice President and Secretary of the United States Army Warrant Officer Association – Audie L. Murphy Chapter, as a board member of the National Guard Association of Texas (NGAT), and as Secretary and board member of the Texas National Guard Family Support Foundation (TXNGFSF). Her volunteer service includes participation in awards, scholarship, and social events committees.
A passionate advocate for service members and military families, Melissa is proud to be a founding member of the Cup and Flower Foundation. She looks forward to helping grow an organization that honors military service and supports enduring traditions.
Melissa resides in Leander, Texas, with her husband, Ardis Harden. She is the proud mother of three children and grandmother of three.
